2-1-1 is an easy-to-remember number to call when you need help or access to human services. Like 9-1-1 for emergencies, 2-1-1 provides direct, personal and professional assistance for human services. Help is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, in multiple languages (including Spanish).

2-1-1 is governed through 2-1-1 New York, a statewide organization that includes nine regional 2-1-1 organizations. 2-1-1 New York is affiliated with the national 2-1-1 initiative and is a co-initiative of United Way of New York State and the New York State Alliance of Information and Referral Systems, Inc. (NYS AIRS).
